What are some of your fav scenes and why?
My top 6 are (in cronological order): 1) The opening: Dramatic, heart-wrenching, powerful. An excellent introduction to the story, provides insight to Kala's motivation concerning Tarzan, and you gotta love that song! 2) Elephant falls: Nice, short shot, but so gorgeous. Beautiful mixture of scenery and music. 3) "Why am I so different?": Again with the scenery and music, but add to that the conversation. Love is blind, what's on the inside is what counts. Now if only they'd have put that exact music on the soundtrack... 4) Strangers Like Me: Tarzan and Jane slowly falling in love, and the knowledge Tarzan is gaining. Also, Claton's kinda cute when he's frustrated... 5) Kerchack's death: He finally accepts Tarzan as his son. Very touching scene, and such wonderful music. 6) The finale: I love this scene to death, to bad it's so short. I'd give most anything to be able to move through the trees like that... Incredibly well done, brings the movie to a close quite nicely.

I really love the scene during the song Son Of Man near the end of it where you see him swinging through the vines before finally landing on the one big branch, turning around and giving that "look" to the camera

I agree with both you, Kimmy, and with Jane. The movie is just beautiful and well made from start to finish! One of my personal favorites not mentioned by either of you is when he fights Sabor the leopard and when Tarzan win,s he lifts up a dead Sabor and does his god-like jungle call with his face up towards the sky and his wild readlocks whipping about behind him. Lord of the jungle, indeed!

The scene where we see Tarzan hugging Kerchak just before he dies then you see Kerchak's hand fall to the ground in slow motion really gives me a big lump in my throat

I also love the part, just after the defeat of Sabor, when Tarzan offers Sabor to Kerchack. Such a beautiful, touching scene... and again, wonderful music I wish was on the OST.

I also love the scene when the camera pans around Jane as she looks around herself into the trees surrounded by all the gorillas

I can't believe I missed that one in my first list!
Oh, and when Tarzan is playing with the young gorillas, and the one starts playing with his hair. Can we say "awwww..."?

Kerchack playing with his kid at the begining. A side of Kerchack we don't get to see again.

I definetly have to agree with you on this except mine aren't in chronological order and I also love the son of man scene and the one scene where kala takes him to the treehouse. It is so sweet.
